The (Shelf) life of food

I might have worked in advertising, but I'm generally not one for infographics. But, I recently came across a fantastic infographic on the counter/pantry, fridge and freezer life of different foods. It's amazing so I had to share it. And informative. For instance, did you know it's not recommended to leave green beans or lettuce on the counter, even just for a day. And that you can freeze cucumbers??!? One argument that I've been having with my mum for as long as I can remember is if you can freeze milk or not. Apparently you can, but only for a month.

So some of it might be obvious, but it's always good to have something on hand to check with if you're ever not sure. So feel to save, print or share.

  1. This is great Alissa! Since having children I have become borderline OCD with food storage : ) I will print this off and keep it on the fridge... xxmaria

    1. I completely understand (except for the children bit). I'm slightly compulsive over used by dates, which may have stemmed from my mum being a little too lax with them. But this is a fantastic all in one place list for. Lissxx
